Invention of WWW and E-commerce
History of WWW

In this initial proposal for the World Wide Web, Berners-Lee described the shortcomings of the then-current system at CERN in allowing scientists access to their information and documentation. Though the internet had been around for a decade, the information had limited accessibility.
In order to transform data sharing, Berners-Lee set out to link the internet and a web-structured platform. According to CERN, in order to accomplish this, he developed the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Uniform Resource Identifier (URI), and Hypertext Makeup Language (HTML), which are still in use today. Approximately 3,000 webpages existed in 1994, according to the World Economic Forum. (Opens in new tab). With the help of the Internet, the world has become a much smaller place, and the world has become a much smaller place as well. In 2009, Berners-Lee established the World Wide Web Foundation, an organization dedicated to bringing digital equality to the entire world, in response to the iconic "www."'s ongoing success. Invention of E-commerce
Michael Aldrich is attributed with creating the first iteration of e-commerce. He was reportedly complaining about having to make a lengthy journey to the supermarket while out with his wife. He then experienced an unexpected burst of inspiration. He came up with the concept of having your supermarket transport your groceries by connecting television to it. He hooked up his monitor to a computer that was intended for handling transactions in 1979. The first type of e-commerce that we are familiar with was the word "teleshopping," which he later coined.
